eXp Realty and Newrez on Thursday, Oct. 8, announced Revenos Mortgage, a mortgage joint venture designed to serve eXp agents and their clients. The companies unveiled it at eXpcon in Salt Lake City and said the business is planned to launch in early 2027.
Why this matters: Brokerage-lender joint ventures are under pressure across the industry, and this one replaces an earlier eXp lending venture. As lenders gather this week at MBA Annual in Chicago, where MBA has forecast a purchase-driven 2027, Revenos shows how large brokerages are lining up captive mortgage channels for that market.

What was announced
- A new joint venture called Revenos Mortgage, powered by Newrez.
- Its stated audience: eXp Realty agents and their clients.
- Newrez is to supply mortgage products, technology and loan servicing; eXp brings its brokerage and agent network.
- The companies say they are integrating their platforms ahead of a planned early-2027 launch, with more details to come.
eXp Realty is the main subsidiary of AGNT, Inc. Newrez is part of Rithm Capital and describes itself as one of the five largest nonbank lenders and servicers.
What is not known yet
Revenos is not originating loans today. The release does not list loan products, pricing, states served, licensing status, ownership split or how agents will refer clients. Those details matter for buyers: a joint venture tied to your agent's brokerage is an affiliated business, and you are free to shop other lenders.
Why eXp is changing lenders
According to HousingWire, the deal follows eXp's decision in early September to wind down Success Lending, its joint venture with Kind Lending. Citing InGenius data, HousingWire reported Success Lending originated about $270 million year to date as of early September, after $526.5 million in 2025 and $658 million in 2024. eXp CEO Leo Pareja told HousingWire the company wanted a partner with scale.
Newrez President Baron Silverstein said Revenos clients would receive the same servicing Newrez provides its existing homeowners.
Practical takeaway
For eXp agents: nothing changes for clients until launch. Ask how referrals, disclosures and compliance with affiliated-business rules will work before relying on the program.
For homebuyers: if your agent recommends an affiliated lender after launch, compare at least one outside Loan Estimate. An affiliated lender can be a good fit, but the decision is yours.
